Ranch Road

Ranch Road is a design that originated on an open rural site. Located west of Calumet, Oklahoma the site is situated next to a lake with a second pond planned by the client. Designed for a very special retired couple, the house represents a place where family can congregate and explore the natural surroundings of their family farm. The memories shared on this land of the past and the memories to be made represent the couples design goals. Family, views, and comfortable living/socializing spaces drove the design from the client's needs. The wrap around porch defines the exterior while siting and orientation of the home exploits the amazing views of the site. An open floor plan, an upstairs play loft for the grandchildren, and a screened in portion of the wrap around porch allow for family interaction as well as areas of tranquility for the couple when home alone.
