Established in 1991, the CARE Center is a nationally-accredited child advocacy center, the sole one in Oklahoma County. Child abuse is an epidemic, with 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys experiencing abuse before turning 18. Our daily mission is combating abuse and altering these statistics” (CARE Center). It was a privilege and honor to collaborate with the CARE Center and contribute to their mission. Left Frame designed and built their new, state-of-the-art, 6,877-square-foot facility, including a new parking lot and private street. The design harmonized with the neighborhood while ensuring a welcoming and calming environment for their clients and families. This new facility harmonizes with their existing campus structures, facilitating their ongoing mission expansion. Beyond mere walls and function, this project was an opportunity to assist this remarkable child advocacy group in creating essential functional spaces, emphasizing environments that foster psychological health and well-being for all users, clients, and employees. Our design-build model not only provided them with a space to take pride in and support their work but also enabled them to move into their new space 2 months ahead of schedule.
